My genre of choice is fantasy with a bit of sci/fi (gravitating toward punk and space). I also write erotica **Details in Adult profile. From time to time, I write contemporary settings.
Overall, I'm a pretty big geek, and I love researching. Learning and fact gathering are some of the most enjoyable parts of writing for me, and I try to work in fun info without getting too dry or dull (I hope anyway. ^^)
Here, you can find stories about battles, death, birth, some occasional gore, magic, fae folk, and whatever else my imagination decides to spit out.
Also, I enjoy writing about pagan themes, hedonism, open relationships, communication, and tolerance, with a preference for utopian versus dystopian settings -- though, when the mood strikes, I can wander toward darker themes. I hope there's something in my gallery that suits your tastes. There will always be more; this is what I love to do.
Comments are great, and I do my best to respond to everyone. Every little bit of writing is practice.
Overall, comments are valuable in helping me grow as a writer. If you like something, let me know -- and if you don't, well I want to know that too! I'm not perfect, nor is my writing. This week is a rewrite of Aardvark. Link here! The first time I wrote it I was in a very 'human' head space, and since SoFurry has rules about strictly human stories (for now -- this may change) I decided to bring out the furry in it. I probably could have posted the original, but I really wanted to give it a try.
Word to the wise -- it's complicated. I wanted to maintain the same feel of the original, but have it make sense in an animal-centric universe. I decided to go with hybrids, because I haven't written much about them and thought it would be an interesting exercise. It required a bit of world building, but it's something I'm sure I can use for future stories.
For this, I took a queue from the English concept of degeneration which suggests that a person's value can go up or down depending on who and how they marry. If you like the desert, New Mexico isn't too bad. We have all kinds of color here... Brown, sand, sepia, burnt umber, gray.
